CenTex Aerospace Receives ANAC (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil) Validation for the HALO 250 Conversion for the
200 Series King Airs

Waco, TX – December 20, 2013 – CenTex Aerospace, Inc. receives approval from Brazil’s Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) for their HALO 250 conversion for the Beechcraft 200 series King Airs.    The FAA issued their STC approval to CenTex on October 16th 2012, and then on January 22nd of 2013 Transport Canada issued their approval.

ANAC’s certification follows similar approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), which will be in hand within the first quarter of 2014... READ MORE

Fly Farther, Faster, and Safer with the HALO 250 Conversion for the King Air 200, B200, and B200GT

FARTHER: More payload means more passengers, baggage, fuel, or a combination of these three. The 920 pound increase equates to an additional hour and a half of flight time, or, five more passengers plus baggage.

FASTER: The conversion provides an increase in the maximum operating Mach number, Mmo from 0.52 to 0.58 Mach. This allows faster cruise speeds at high altitudes and faster descents, and is a real benefit for airplanes with -52 and -61 engines.

SAFER: Five new safety systems raises the King Air to a new level of safety.

WACO, TX – July 29, 2013 – CenTex Aerospace, Inc. receives FAA STC-approval of their versatile Saddle Tanks for the 90 King Airs. The FAA issued the STC (SA11142SC) to CenTex Aerospace on July 12, 2013. The new Saddle Tanks are an excellent addition to the King Air 90 airplanes. CenTex Aerospace, Inc. Receives STC Approval for HALO 250 Gross Weight Increase Conversion for King Air 200s


WACO, TX October 16, 2012 The long awaited Halo 250 STC conversion for King Air 200s is now in hand. Concluding a three year certification effort, the FAA issued the STC to CenTex Aerospace on October 16 th . The Halo 250 STC conversion raises the maximum takeoff weight of any 200 series King Air from 12,500 to 13,420 pounds, resulting in a 920 pound increase in payload capacity. It also moves the King Air 200 into commuter category, allowing transport of passengers and cargo without the limitations that accompany restricted category.

Included in the Halo 250 conversion are new safety systems that provide improved stall warning in icing conditions, aural over-speed warning, elevator out-of-trim warning, engine fire extinguisher capability, emergency cabin lighting, and illuminated escape path floor markings. New Airplane Flight Manual performance data is available for planning the takeoff flight path to 1,500 feet AGL and the landing approach flight path in normal and icing conditions. These systems and data help improve the level of operational safety for Halo 250 converted airplanes.
